JOIN THE NYC CHAPTER OF JDRF FOR ITS 43RD ANNUAL PROMISE BALL
A Night to Help Turn Type One Into Type NONE
Forty-three years ago, the Promise Ball was created by a group of people to express their commitment to help find a cure for their children, parents and dear friends with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Through the years, the Promise Ball has raised $67 million for diabetes research worldwide. The dedicated Promise Ball Committee members have significantly helped JDRF fund cutting-edge research that has led to many landmark advances in T1D science.
The New York Chapter’s Promise Ball is the Foundation’s oldest annual event, now in its 43rd year, and is one of the city’s premiere events attended by over 600 of New York City’s corporate, social and entertainment leaders. Past honorees include Kevin Kline, Steve Ross, Barry Sternlicht, Mary Tyler Moore and our founders, Carol & Erwin Lurie. Past performers include Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers, Dennis Miller and Jon Stewart. In the past decade alone, the Ball has raised over $30M for the Foundation and is considered one of JDRF’s top five fundraising galas.
