School Teams in the Walk to Cure Diabetes

As the leading charitable funder and advocate of (type 1) diabetes research worldwide, JDRF has seen the tremendous impact that students, teachers and entire schools can have in increasing awareness and raising the necessary funds to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.  Now is the perfect time for your school to become a part of that effort.  Here is how your school can get involved:

Form a School Walk Team
Form a walk team by designating a team captain that will recruit walkers to participate in the event and fundraise at your school.  Then, attend the Walk and enjoy a day of exercise, food and live entertainment.  By taking part in the Walk to Cure Diabetes, your faculty and students will have the chance to  work together foster community involvement and charitable giving, and students will be able to earn community service credit in the process.
